            SELF-DEFENCE TRAINING / HYFFORDDIANT HYNANAMDDIFFYN

 

The aim of this training is to instruct people in simple yet effective breakaway (disengagement) and self-defence skills to enable them to protect themselves when faced with the risk of physical violence in a situation of serious and imminent threat to their personal safety.

           IN-HOUSE TRAINING

 

 

Awareness training - this short course is a stand alone session which includes:

  • Visual markers and references to body language and intent.

  • Critical decision making.

  • Situational awareness.

 

Level 1 Breakaway - a short course involving the techniques and mentality to successfully defend yourself and get away.

  • U.K. Law and self defence, what you should know.

  • The mental attitude needed to survive and escape.

  • Physical techniques against the most common attacks.

 

Level 2 Self-Defence - a two day course for anyone, especially if you work alone or are at risk of confrontation.

  • Conflict management techniques.

  • Visual markers and references to body language and intent.

  • U.K. Law and self defence, what you should know.

  • Health & Safety and how it relates to your work or company.

  • Physical techniques against the most common attacks.

  • The mental attitude needed to survive and escape.

Empower has experienced staff amongst them are International Expedition Leaders who have travelled and led youth groups to some of the poorest and most dangerous countries in the world. This short course will give you the skills and techniques to stay safe as you travel. Weather going on a gap year or about to travel on that holiday of a lifetime this course could assist with avoiding the pitfalls of travelling to distant countries (ideal for lone travellers).
